Time takes to clean an oven properly with a preheated oven and a good oven cleaner is 45 mins – 60 mins.
Although using a chemical can make the job quite easy, but not many prefer to use the chemical at all. Its gas can be quite harmful if inhaled and if you have asthma then it’s best to go with a more Natural way of cleaning an oven.
Natural Oven Cleaning methodsBaking Soda & Vinegar
Let’s get our hands onto the all-purpose Vinegar and baking soda, you will also need some hot water. Just remove your oven racks, in a small bowl add a 50-50 mixture of baking soda and vinegar with a couple of table spoon of water to make it into a good paste with the consistency of a good old peanut butter. Now coast the oven white that paste and leave it overnight, make sure that the oven is closed properly. The next day put some white vinegar in a bottle and spray to remove all the marks from your oven.
This method works effectively but there are 2 major drawbacks. First, it’s quite time consuming, it would generally take 12-14 hours for your oven to clean properly. Second, you would have to put some extra effort on those grills with some scrubbing if they are too messy.
Soap and Banking Soda Combo
Now Baking soda and vinegar is a method we all have heard about, but baking soda and soap? How do you even use the mixture of both? For this you will need some Borax as well. Add 4 teaspoons of borax with half a cup of vinegar and 1/6 cu of liquid dish soap. Put that mixture in a hot water and get your spray bottles ready. Coast the oven with the solution and leave it overnight.
This method would require a bit more scrubbing than the baking soda and vinegar combo to get the job done. The amount of time this method takes is similar to the time previous method, it is hard to find an all-natural way for cleaning an over that works as fast as the oven cleaning chemicals, the time difference of 1-2 hours to 12-14 hrs is quite enormous, one of the reasons why most bond cleaners prefer to use their preferred brand chemical oven cleaner.
